"Every caftan carries the soul of Marrakech"
A Guardian of
Moroccan Heritage
Born and raised in Morocco, Raja El Kouatli developed a deep passion for the caftan from childhood — watching the hands of artisans transform silk and thread into wearable art in the ancient medinas of her country.
After years of apprenticeship under Marrakech's most respected artisans, Raja opened her atelier in Guéliz, Marrakech. She makes everything herself, by hand, from beginning to end — a rarity in an age of mass production.
Raja personally selects Morocco's finest silks, velvets, and brocades before adorning them with traditional Sfifa and Aakad embroidery. A complex bridal caftan takes 6 to 8 weeks to complete — every stitch placed by hand.
